Matters relating to Questions or Motions raised during the Adjournment of Parliament
The Committee on Parliamentary Business sets dates for adjournment questions or motions to be asked of Members of Parliament from each party represented in Parliament.
Any back bench member of the ruling party or the opposition has the opportunity to ask questions.
• Ensuring that questions or motions to be discussed in Parliament during the adjournment of the House are promptly directed to the relevant Ministries for immediate attention and response.
Orders / Rules / Regulations
According to the Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 2196/27 dated 06.10.2020, Orders, Rules and Terms can only be submitted by a Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Orders/Rules/Regulations enacted under the provisions of the Constitution or any other Act fall into any of the following categories.
